Buyer questions, answered straight
The questions importers actually ask us, with the honest answers — including the ones with "it depends" attached, because pretending otherwise wastes your time.
We are the manufacturer. Zhejiang Botai Furniture runs 117,000 square metres of factories with over 1,400 staff in Anji, Zhejiang, under the BJTJ brand. You are welcome to audit the plant or arrange a video walk-through before you place an order — at our scale there is nothing to hide behind.
It depends on the model and whether you want OEM or ODM, so we quote MOQ per enquiry rather than print one number that would be wrong for most orders. Because our capacity is large, we are usually more comfortable with bigger runs than with very small ones — tell us the model and your target market and we will give you a realistic minimum and the price breaks.
We build and test to BIFMA and EN standards, and we arrange third-party reports per order. We do not claim a blanket "certified" status, because the right report depends on the model and your destination. Tell us your market early and we will scope the exact testing into the programme.
Yes — private label is standard for us. Your logo, colourway, printed manuals and master-carton artwork go on under an OEM or ODM agreement, and we confirm the branding on a sample before production. We have run private-label programmes for large international buyers.
We build a physical sample so you can confirm fit, fabric and mechanism before anything tools. Sample and courier costs are usually the buyer's and are often credited against a confirmed order — we agree this in writing per programme so there are no surprises.
For a chair we already tool, production typically starts soon after sample approval. A new ODM development adds weeks for tooling and a sampling round. We quote a realistic date with the offer rather than an optimistic one we cannot hold — at volume, a date we can keep matters more than a fast one we can't.
We ship to the United States, Europe and South America, building to those markets' procurement requirements. That experience shows up in carton strength, labelling and how we pack gas lifts — the small things that keep your claims and returns down.
Office and mesh chairs ship knocked-down where possible, one unit per carton, to cut volume. Sofas and bulkier items are wrapped and edge-protected. We optimise for full-container loads and can advise cartons-per-container for your specific models.
